Biography:
Podrick Payne is a character in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Initially a naive and somewhat inept squire to a knight of House Payne, Podrick finds himself unexpectedly serving Tyrion Lannister after saving Tyrion's life during the Battle of the Blackwater.
Known for his unwavering loyalty, surprising physical strength when needed, and general kindness, Podrick becomes Tyrion's squire and confidante. After Tyrion flees King's Landing, Podrick accompanies Brienne of Tarth in her search for Sansa Stark. He is taught to fight by Brienne and becomes a capable, though still relatively inexperienced, knight.
Podrick's honest nature and genuine goodness make him a well-liked character, often acting as a moral compass within the morally ambiguous world of Westeros. He survives the series and is eventually knighted by Bran Stark, becoming Ser Podrick Payne of the Kingsguard.
